Stadium for the F.I.F.A. World Cup Championship Russia-2018 in Rostov-on-Don

According to contract № 469-R, signed on March 28, 2014, the government of the Russian Federation has named CROCUS INTERNATIONAL as the General Contractor for the construction of a stadium for the F.I.F.A. World Cup Championship in 2018 in Rostov-on-Don.

The state contract with the Russian Federation's Ministry of Sports was signed December 25, 2014.

Capacity – 45,000 seats.
Area of the Facility – 36.38 hectares


As of now, construction of the roof of the stadium in Rostov-on-Don has been completed, with work now beginning on the roof’s tensile membrane covering, which will allow for controlled access to sunlight. This is an absolutely necessary feature to ensure the healthy growth of the lawn throughout the year.
On Tuesday, March 22, the President of Crocus Group, Araz Agalarov, joined the Governor of the Rostov Oblast, Vasily Golubev, on a visit to the construction site for the stadium for the 2018 F.I.F.A. World Cup Championships in Rostov-on-Don.
