What’s most important for me about this project is that the construction of the Far Eastern Federal University offers an opportunity to be involved in creating a unique framework for the intellectual life of an entire region, which is sure to have a lasting impact on the history of the country. - Aras Agalarov
Crocus Group served as the general contractor for the construction of the Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island, part of the Vladivostok region of the Primorsky Kray, and one of the key sites for the 2012 APEC Summit, which was the first such summit to be held in Russia.
The construction of the Far Eastern Federal University was truly unparalleled The colossal volume of work, completed at record-breaking speed, and the particulars of the island required an extensive engineering, logistical and social infrastructure, which had to be built practically from scratch.
In order to reduce project time, Aras Agalarov made the decision to switch to using a metal frame for the building, cutting the completion time from the 72 months to 30 months.
With the help of cutting edge technology, a university complex totaling 948,000 m² was completed in two and a half years.
This project has played a critical role in boosting the social and political image of Russia in the Far East and the countries of the Asian Pacific.
