For the 8th time the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center hosted All-Russian Forum Exhibition GOSZAKAZ (Government Procurement) 2012. In three days the Exhibition at the IEC Crocus Expo had 12 000 visitors with more than 50 Russian regions participating and 430 firms, organizations, companies and regions presenting their expositions.
“For us this forum is a platform for discussing problems and future development”, - remarked Elvira Nabiulina, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, opening the Forum.
Participants of the plenary meetings and discussions at GOSZAKAZ 2012 included, among others:

“Everything was top notch – both representatively and professionally”, - noted Director of the Forum Exhibition Andrei Sadofiev. – Some of the ideas that were brought up are critically important at this moment when state procurement is increasingly becoming a fully-fledged branch of the economy and when improvement of its legal framework is underway”.
The keynote theme of this year’s event was: “State Procurement – Investment in the National Economy”. As noted by Minister of Economic Development Elvira Nabiulina, annually 12 trillion rubles is allocated for state procurement. According to her, public sector demand accounts for 20% of Russian domestic demand.
“State procurement – is one of the tools of the government’s economic policy, - emphasized to the press Sergei Katyrin, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TPP), under whose auspicies the Forum is held. – The procurement industry is one of the staples of the country’s economic life”.
The Forum featured an awards ceremony for the winners of the “Best Supplier 2011” contest. This contest is a prestigious and important part of the Forum Exhibition designed to further growth of the authority and responsibility of state procurement market participants.
Forum Exhibition GOSZAKAZ is held annually at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center and serves as a platform for discussing the role of state and municipal procurement at this stage of economic relations, for reviewing and formulating proposals for improvement of the state procurement system and areas of its development, according to the program documents of the event. The Forum is held in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Moscow, under the auspices of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Russian Federation. Event organizer is the Moscow Entrepreneurs’ Association.
